www google search is giving Ol’ St. Nicholas a run for his money this holiday season because it ALSO knows what people want for the holidays. Rather than getting mail in the North Pole however, Google gets its data via its popular search engine. In data from its Trends platform, it has determined the top trending toys, devices and apparel searches on Google Shopping. An overview from the Commerce blog:
  • Game consoles and tablets continue to be the top gifts trending on Google Shopping, butwearable technology such as the “fitbit” is also on the rise this month.
  • Certain retro toys are making a comeback this season. Thanks to the new movie “Ouija,” searches for “Ouija boards” are up 300% since October. And queries for “Barbie Dream House” and “My Little Pony” are up as well compared to last month. 6
  • Cold-weather staples, such as “Hunter boots” and “Canada Goose jackets,” are among the most popular apparel searches, up 46% and 140%, respectively, since October. But “jogger pants” are the newcomer gift this season, up 39% from October. 7
But the most important data they pulled, especially if you are a clueless father like myself, is the top 10 Kids’ gifts list. Without further ado, in order:
1. American Girl
2. My Little Pony
3. Paw Patrol
4. Lego Friends
5. Ouija Board
6. Peppa Pig
7. Shopkins
8. Nerf Guns
9. Barbie Dream House
10. Zoomer Dino
Any of this hitting home?

Thanks for visiting! Right now you're on www google search . If you are looking for physical geography or earth science basics, stay on this site. It's not just for geography for kids, it's for everyone. This site has an introduction to the earth sciences that includes topics on the Earth's structure, atmosphere, hydrosphere, and biosphere (for a start). If you're still not sure what to click, try our site map that lists all of the topics on the site. If you surf and get lost in all of the information, use the search function on the top of the pages.
OKAY! Let's start here...

Many of you may not be familiar with PHYSICAL GEOGRAPHY. It's the biggest Earth Science around. It uses many ideas from other sciences that you have seen before. We can only begin to explain how ideas from many different fields combine into the knowledge of physical geography. You will find information from chemistry, biology, physics, climatology, astronomy and many other sciences.

One big thing to remember... This kind of geography is not about countries and gross domestic products. Physical geography is all about the Earth and the things that happen on Earth. Humans are only one part of the overall equation.

If you're saying, "Where do I start with so much information about the Earth?" Don't worry. There's one common thing that is found throughout the universe...ENERGY. We suggest starting your explorations there. We'll introduce many concepts about the flow of energy on Earth and then lead you into other ideas on the site.

That's it for the introduction. Now its up to you to click and have fun!Google search 4kids is one of many free science sites developed by our team. You may have also used Biology4Kids, Chem4Kids, Cosmos4Kids, or Physics4Kids. We even have a math site.
If you're not into graphics like home page image above, use the search tool (powered by Google) that will check our sites for the chemistry information you need. Type in a keyword or phrase and click the search button to get started

There's a New Search Engine for Kids That Promises a Safer Internet

Stealthily hovering around your kid to get a sneak peek at their online activity isn’t fun for you or him. Sure, there are paid services that will allow you to protect your kids online and track their activity, but if you’re looking for a more cost-effective option, the recently launched “Kiddle” can offer some peace of mind — for free.Powered by www google search , Kiddle is a visual search engine that promises to keep your kid eyes on wholesome topics and away from some are the more questionable places of the web. The interface is similar to the standard Google search engine, save for a few kid-friendly tweaks, and touts that its results are hand-picked by editors with your child in mind. The first three search results to pop up will be pages specifically written for kids, hand picked and checked by Kiddle editors. The next three results will be from sites that, while deemed safe, are not written specifically for kids but are presented in a simple way that kids might understand, according to the site. Results eight and onwards will be well-known sites that are written for adults and provide expert content, but are filtered against certain keywords.

This may sound like a big relief, but the new tool is not without controversy. Some are debating how much the search engine blocks and if it’s going too far. Currently, filtered terms include words such as “menstruation” or “death”, which are arguably important for a teen or tween’s health education, as well as LGBT-related keywords such as “lesbian” and “gay.” Others also wonder who the “editors” behind Kiddle are to decide what’s okay and not okay for a child to see.
In response, the site claims it “cannot guarantee the safety” of those kinds results. “What is okay for a child of 12 may not be okay for a child of five,” Kiddle representatives tol

Kiddle Search Engine Is The Google For Kids

We can't imagine a world without Google.
If we think back far enough, we can remember those early school years where we would be forced to go to the library in order to get through our book report or find ideas for our next science experiment. Being able to search the World Wide Web nowadays makes doing homework a breeze.
Seriously, kids have it so easy these days. Not only do they have smartphones to be able to communicate with their friends after school's out, but they also probably have more knowledge when it comes to using computers than their parents. While this could be a great thing — they are the future, you know — it can also be very bad if they start searching for or accidentally pulling up things they aren't supposed to see.
Now, to the delight of parents, kids will be able to use their very own version of Google when using this search engine called Kiddle.
Featuring Google's infamous colors in its logo, Kiddle ditches the plain white background found on the popular search engine's homepage, and instead features an outer space theme, complete with planets off in the distance, along with a robotic alien under the search bar that lives on the crater-filled planet seen in the forefront.
Kiddle, the visual search engine for kids that is powered by editors and Google safe search, allows kids to do a Web, images, news or video search. Once a child enters a query into the search bar, Kiddle will pull up a list of related links. The first one to three results will include safe sites and pages that are written specifically for kids that are handpicked and checked by the editors. The next four to seven results will feature sites that include content that is written in simple language so that young children are able to comprehend what they are researching. These too are handpicked and checked by the editors. Results eight and onward include sites written for adults that are still filtered by Google safe search but are a bit harder for children to comprehend.
"Since Kiddle results are either handpicked and checked by our editors or filtered by Google safe search, you know you get kid-oriented results without any explicit content. In case some bad words are present in a search query, our guard robot will block the search," the About Kiddle page reads.
For example, if a child were to search Miley Cyrus, news about her personal life, her Instagram and her Twitter accounts are not shown. Instead, kids will only get family-friendly biographies about the star.
Parents can also block additional keywords by submitting a form, and may also request to block a site they feel is not suitable for children.
Other key differences is that Kiddle search results feature more illustrations with big thumbnails and a large Arial font so kids can better read the text.
The search engine also doesn't collect any personal information and clears its logs every 24 hours.

Disney Princesses Drawn Perfectly in the Kawaii Manhwa Style

What happens when master Korean artist Nayoung Wooh  draws the most famous Disney fairytale princesses in thetraditional Manhwa style? A utterly breathtaking explosion of traditional aesthetics and cuteness, that’s what! In one of her most notable publications entitled “Fairytales”, Wooh (also known by her moniker ‘Obsidian‘) offers “reinterpretations of Western Fairytales.”
The characters are drawn in Hanbok, a traditional Korean dress. Hanbok usually have simple but bright colors that are divided by simple lines. It is worn in modern days as semi-formal or formal wear, similar to kimono in Japan. In Korea, there is an annual Hanbok Day on which both men and women are encouraged to exercise their cultural roots and don the traditional outfit.
In Wooh’s artwork, the hanbok are elegant and flowing. They give the reader a feeling of traditional Korean flare in the context of a larger-than-life world. Some other masterful examples of hanbok are shown in another one of Wooh’s collections, “Women in Hanbok.” If you love this gallery, be sure to check out her other work!
In “Fairytales,” (<– see that link for HD) Wooh creates her own interpretations of Snow White, The Little Mermaid, The Frog Prince, Little Red Riding Hood, Beauty and the Beast, The Wild Swans, The Snow Queen, and Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. We’re particularly fond of the re-imagining of the Beast from Beauty and the Beast as a tiger on two legs. The main character throughout all of the different pictures seems to be the same — perhaps it’s Wooh imagining herself in these make-believe worlds?

Visit to : www google search
Where can you find a big, pink, French cartoon that has its own café? In Saitama, Japan, that’s where! From the minds of American and French duo, Barbapapa is the name of the lovable children’s character that was drawn up by Talus Taylor and Annette Tyson in the 1970s. Now, banking on the nostalgia of Japanese fans and foreign visitors alike, Barbapapa Café is open to the public.

The name Barbapapa (which coincidentally is also the species of the fictional character) comes from a misunderstanding of the French word for cotton candy, barbe à papa, meaning daddy’s beard or candy floss. Modeled after the sugary treat, Barbapapa is a pink, pear-shaped blob who lives in a world of humans. It was originally published in France, though quickly found an audience all over the world. Since the 70s, Barbapapa has been adapted to other forms of print media, to television, and even to the Google doodle.
Barbapapa goes on many adventures in the world humans, teaching valuable lessons on exploration and musicality. One of the hallmark of the series is its critical look at environmental responsibility; Barbapapa teaches us that we have to take care of nature and the world that we live in. These adventures have been translated into over 30 languages, and are treasured by many.Mixing Oishii With Kawaii in a Big Pink WayThree days ago a Barbapapa-themed café opened its doors at the Aeon Lake Town shopping mall in Koshigaya, Saitama Prefecture. It boasts original exclusive merchandise and a full-service café with its own exciting and once-in-a-lifetime menu. The restaurant was created to commemorate the 45 year anniversary of the children’s series, which had a decent following in Japan. Here’s our review:

For under $10 (or ¥1100), fans can eat stuff like Barbapapa-face pancakes with a fresh fruit salad parfait, a dollop of whipped cream with star candy, and pink chocolate cookie. Maple syrup comes on the side for those who want to dress their hotcakes with sticky face paint.

For about $11 (or ¥1280), diners can have a French style eclair topped with sweet icing that spells out the name of the series, “Barbapapa.” The sweet also comes with a fresh fruit salad, strawberry slices, mint, and an espresso cookie.

If one is in the mood for a meal or sweets, they can order piping hot Barbapapa latte with the main character’s face drawn on the froth. You can’t help but smile with happy pink blob while you’re also sipping delicious coffee.

In case you’re in the mood for something a little light but still filling, there are also avocado sandwiches, vegan burgers, curry, and vegetable pasta options. These are artfully plated and displayed to customers. Also take away gift, one can get a set of macarons and roll cake illustrated with characters from the cartoon. All of these can be yours for just about $17 (or ¥1900)

If you’re not in the market to eat anything, you can also find super kawaii gifts to leave with. Barbapapa keyboards and mouses are available for $95 (¥10,800) and $35 (¥3888), respectively.
If you live anywhere Saitama, get over to Aeon and visit the Barbapapa Café today! :D
